SunHeater® Tube Repair Kit

This kit includes everything necessary to repair a leaking tube in the body of a SunHeater® solar pool heating panel.

How to repair a tube leak in a SunHeater Solar Panel:

1. Turn off the filter pump, or bypass solar if an external bypass is installed
2. Mark the affected tube at both headers
3. Starting about 3″ away from the first header, use the included precision cutting tool to cut a small flap in the tube
4. Using the included insertion tool, insert one rubber repair plug on
5. Repeat steps #3 and 4 at the other header
6. Turn the filter pump on, and turn external bypass valve to circulate water through solar (if installed)

For systems operating at pressures above 15 PSI, it may be necessary to use two plugs for each end of the panel.
